Results and Reports
Snetterton - April 5th

A damp qualifying made for an interesting baptism to circuit racing and I was delighted to find that I qualified third for the AMOC race and sixth for the Intermarque race.
Race 1
Running comfortably in second behind the very fast V8 of Chriss Scragg then had an intermitant loss of power that dropped me to fourth place, but very enjoyable non the less.
Race 2
Starting sixth, I soon overtook the two Ferarri 355`s of Tim Mogridge and Wayne Marrs to run forth behind third place Pete Foster, Tom Black in second with a similar car to mine and Leader Chriss Scragg.
The first three stayed the same until the finish but my mysterious loss of power returned and I eventually finished 6th.
The David Appelby Enginering race team, who run my car, of David and his son James also had a very sucessful race in the GT4 challenge finishing third despite qualifying on pole and setting the fastest lap of the race
Mallory Park - May 9th

Quaifying saw me take third on the grid for race 1 and fourth for the Intermarque race
Race1
Too much wheelspin resulted in a terrible start and I dropped to sixth, but by lap 7 I had overtaken three cars to run third behind John Bussell in his lovely DB5 and leader Chriss Scragg in his V8. They were having a real battle and going very quickly and although I managed to stay with them for a few laps, I paid the price for being too hard on my tyres earlier and they soon went off and I dropped back to finish a lonely third.
Race 2
Fourth on the grid soon became second as I picked off the usual two Ferarri 355 protagonists on consecutive laps by going up the inside of them at the esses. I was then running behind Chriss Scragg and found that I could keep up with him especially around the corners. I followed him for a few laps and he was driving defencably especially at the esses where he had seen me overtake the Ferarris, on lap 8 I made my move and went round
the outside of him at the esses, catching him unawares I think, and managed to hold onto the lead until the end of the race despite Chriss pushing very hard. He was faster on the straights but my car was better on the brakes and I could hold on around the corners. Luckily a couple of back markers hindered him at the end of the race and I had my first race win by.....................0.268 seconds!
Winning my fourth ever race was a great result and beating someone as quick as Chriss was the icing on the cake. Race team owner David Appelby was very pleased as was his mechanic Will, without whom of course, non of this would be possible. Thanks guys!
